So we were out site seeing and walking down this path. The kids decided to take the slide becuase it would be much faster. What our sweet kids didn't realize is that it is NOT a slide but a gutter on the side of the sidewalk. We are so proud. At least April thought it was a slide too!

Kimono Day
Rimi-san is a dear sister who has taken us on to teach us about her culture. We have had a traditional tea ceremony and now a kimono dressing. There are many parts to the kimono that most people would not know about. For example under the red Obi there are two binding cords and an Obi Ita. The cords hold the kimono up in the right length and the Ita keeps the shape of the Obi. It is basically a hard belt that is the width of the Obi. I wore this kimono for about 4 hours. I decided to purchase an Obi Ita and wear it every day becuase I now believe that is the reason that most Japanese women are skinny. It works almost like a girdle. I sucked my gut in the entire 4 hours. I had such a wonderful time and really enjoyed this experience. We asked Rimi what we could do for her becuase she is so kind to teach us so much. She said, "Tell me you love me!" ...and so we did! Our next class will be ichibana, the art of flower arranging. So more photos to come.

Dylan Cut his hair
Well, Dylan cut his hair with a pair of scissors today. I told him now he had to get it cut. So I was trying to trim it up a bit and make it look better. I was trying to make him feel like he was getting a punishment by getting a shorter hair cut. (He HATES a hair cut) He looked at me and said "whatever mom, go ahead and cut it shorter, it was getting too big anyway" He is lucky I kept the guard on the clippers. Little smarty pants. I will post photos tomorrow since he is in bed now.

Easter Weekend
We spent the weekend up at Okuma. We enjoyed relaxing on the beach, riding bikes, playing golf etc. We did a little site seeing too. We went to the Nakajin castle ruin site, to Forest Park, and to pineapple park. The kids loved eating all the pineapple treats.
